Which documents do I need to get a NIE/TIE?
- EX17, properly filled and printed. Just to be sure, sign it in front of the officer during your appointment.
- Passport (original + copy), with visa or authorization of residence.
- Empadronamiento certificate.
- Completed Tasa 790. If in doubt, take a printout with you, and you can pay in a nearby bank after the appointment. Or consult with the person at the information booth.
- Documents to justify the submission. It can be a work contract, proof of enrollment in a Spanish university, or if through family reunification, proof of relationship and that the family member legally resides in Spain.
- It’s important that you be in Spain in a normal situation. (as opposed to irregular – For example, don’t do this, having entered Spain as a tourist, after your permitted three month stay)
